The Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN), in terms of Section 56 of the Electoral Act, No. 5 of 2014 as amended hereby invites all interested juristic persons and individuals to apply for accreditation to observe the upcoming Presidential and National Assembly Elections. 

Requirements to qualify for accreditation are: you MUST:

1. be able to observe the election process impartially;
2. have extensive knowledge in electoral matters;
3. have knowledge of the relevant legislation governing elections in Namibia;
4. have previously taken part in an observer mission and submit proof of such observer missions partaken;
5. be able to observe the polling process in at least a number of constituencies;
6. abide by the Code of Conduct for election observers; and
7. be able to observe the election process throughout using own financial resources.

Closing date for applications is 31 October 2024, to allow time for the Commission to complete the accreditation process by 15 November 2024.
